Distance learning and trends in the appropriation of the foundations of Social Work

Resumo: O artigo problematiza a relação entre a ampliação de novos agentes profissionais pela via do ensino a distância (EAD) e as tendenciais repercussões na apropriação dos fundamentos teórico-metodológicos e ético-políticos do Serviço Social brasileiro. Realizou-se revisão de literatura e pesquisa documental, no sentido de identificar as mediações pedagógicas que envolvem a apreensão do conhecimento na formação profissional à distância. Identificou-se que, tendencialmente, a formação à distância se particulariza por uma reconfiguração teórico-cultural e ideológica, se compararmos ao projeto hegemônico de formação do Serviço Social brasileiro.

Abstract: The article discusses expansion of new professional agents through distance learning and the trends repercussions in grasping the theoretical-methodological and ethical-political foundations of the Brazilian social work. A literature review and documentary research were conducted in order to identify the pedagogical mediations that involve the apprehension of knowledge in distance professional education. It was identified that the distance education tends to be characterized by a theoretical-cultural and ideological reconfiguration, if compared to the hegemonic project of formation of the Brazilian Social Work.
